I don't have a focused blog. Now, of course, it could be a lot worse. I could tell you about every time one of the cats cough up a hairball. So I'd like to narrow the focus. I'm going to list the topics and I'd love for you all, in the comments, to write your top four. This will help me figure out where to go next year.
1. writing
2. reading
3. social justice
4. intentional community
5. body image
6. homeschooling
7. food
8. art
Thanks you all! I hope you're enjoying the Christmas season. Gwynnie's wrapping my gifts for me this year. Oh, yeah! Gotta love that kid!

Social justice was an extremely close runner up, too, just so ya know. ;)

I really want intentional community to be in there, too, but you limited it to four, and I'm trying to follow rules.

I really wanted to pick something else more meaningful for number 4. I mean social justice and culture are deeper...more meaninful and at times far more spiritual. So I wanted to pick one of them.
But there's this thing called honesty...and honestly I sometimes just wish I could fake it - even here in a blog where you can't see my eyes. But I really want to see this discussed with people I trust...and who won't condemn me for being far less than perfection so maybe I can pass their wisdom on to the younger women in my life buying the whole stinking skin and bones equal beautiful lie. I might also glean some of your wisdom regarding my own weight which is on the other end of unhealthy. I couldn't even spiritualize my "reasoning" because it's all still about me!
Okay...maybe I can pick social justice on another day of the month!

writing, reading, intentional community, and body image, if I have to choose. But I'd rather not. I enjoy reading all of your posts, and if there's something I don't relate to, it's easy to skim it. I think that most of us here want the real Lisa, so don't censor yourself too much!

Writing, Reading, Intentional Community, and Art are my top picks. (But I enjoy reading it all so if you slip something in occasionally I don't think any of us would mind!)

Oh, wait. That's my blog. :)
I love everything you write, right when you write it. It makes me feel like I know your heart at that moment in time.

9. All of the above...
Oops, that wasn't an option, was it?
So, how about:
1. Writing/Reading (I like how you intertwine these, so I think they should count as one. ;)
2. Intentional Community
3. Homeschooling
4. Social Justice

hmmm since when do you need a focus for your blog? LOL You do what you do so well I don't think you need to limit yourself. :o)

ditto sherri's response. i think it represents a nice balance of your "professional" self and your "homegirl" self. :-)
however...it seems that many of your food topics have generated considerable chatter, too. so toss us a cookie now and then!

Exactly what Sherri said. I can't say it any better, so I won't even try.

Mine is another vote for 'all of the above'. Oh, and I'd add 'rants' to the list, too. Your lack of focus is inspiring, Lisa.

You are making me think! I love when you all talk about food. So here is my list:
1. Food
2. Writing
3. Art
4. Intentional Community
5. Samson family parties (I have used the whole menu from Ty's).
Oops that is 5! May 2007 have another breakfast with Mary, Claudia, you and I! A true highlight in 2006.
Love and blessings and lots of Dove chocolates!

I like the diversity you offer. A narrow focus would give us less of you.
Write what inspires you. Anything. Anytime. That is the power of your blog.
Take Care
